That isn't a failure of understanding. Understanding was never the load-bearing part. What you take to be real is — and reading doesn't reach it.
None of what we perceive is base reality.
Beneath the construct are structures the senses don't report — and action in the world is caused through those systems, not through the construct sitting on top of them. Reading renovates the construct. It rearranges furniture in a building whose foundation was never inspected. This work goes underneath.
There is nothing here but people, and relationships.
You can have no left without a right, no dark without a bright, and no peace without a fight. Nothing stands alone — everything is made of its relationships. Everything you own works this way. Everything you chase works this way. Including you — and yours, with yourself.
This work doesn't help you reach your goals.
It changes what you believe is real — and your goals reorganize themselves.
The act is the same every time: go into an unformed situation — a company, a program, a psyche — find the structure that was never put in, and build it. Not advice sitting on top of a life. Load-bearing structure underneath one — and once it's in, it holds whether you remember it or not.
Insight is a visit. Structure moves in.
It asks things of you: that you take the first step, that you show up consistently, that you take responsibility for your results, and that you are honest — here, and with yourself, about where and who you are.
Real change takes time.
A police service's mentorship program, while it was still being designed. An AI company's operations, before the product shipped. A business that ran inside one man's memory, rebuilt into a system. Ontological engineering and systems engineering are the same act at different altitudes.
